Candelario Geronimo is 79 years old. He lives in Los Chañares, Tucumán province, in the middle of the mountains, where he built his stone house, raised his children and took care of his goats. He proudly tells how, 35 years ago, he was one of the first to organize the peasants, descendants of the Calchaquí Diaguitas, to claim for the lands that have always belonged to them.
